Much of leadership development philosophy and practice today operates with the assumption that "leadership" is an attribute of the individual and the foundational approach is"mangement" through the use of command and control. Management is a vertical act and largely requires the use of a leader's authority or personality to get through the chaos of everyday operations.
We would argue that leadership is much more than an attribute of the individual. It is a horizontal act that requires the use of processes and systems to guide the organization through streams of transition or change. These FrameWorks provide the process that guide leaders in relating to others and groups.
